Sunreef’s 90 ULTIMATE Brings Green Tech to Luxury Yacht Charters

By Pardhasaradhi Gonuguntla

Gdansk, Poland—Reported by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine

In 2010 Sunreef Yachts’ design bureau unveiled a new range of performing fast cruisers ranging. After introducing the Sunreef 80 in 2010 and the Sunreef 75 in 2011, Sunreef Yachts is now poised to welcome the Sunreef 90 ULTIMATE to the line.

A masterpiece that took more than 6 months for the design team to finalize, The Sunreef 90 ULTIMATE is a very light carbon, high-performance-oriented superyacht with a light displacement of 55 T. The sleek, marine hulls and reversed bow allow her to enjoy 20+ knots on sails with the safety and stability of a catamaran. A compact and minimalist superstructure will reduce air resistance while the abundance of green energies on board, such as solar panels, wind and hydro generators, will assist the generator and allow for silent running at anchor.

For the first time, the flybridge will not be a typical leisure area, becoming instead a 581 square foot, solar-panel-covered sail maneuvering deck. Generating 8kW of power, the solar panels allows for transparent ceilings in the saloon and master cabin, both of which are supported on a honey-comb shaped carbon fiber super-structure that informs much of the interior design.
The entire superstructure will be made of carbon fiber and glass panels and will ensure increased illumination by admitting light not only through large side windows but also directly from the ceiling. It will house an internal saloon with galley and, in the fore, a starboard master cabin. The cabin’s private terrace offers stunning, uncovered sea views through the vast glass wall and sliding doors which provide access to an owner’s spa pool, bar and lounge.

The port side hull will houses one double guest cabin with en-suite bathroom and storage and one crew cabin in the aft while the starboard hull boasts two double guest cabins with en-suite bathrooms and a service room with storage that connects directly to the main deck galley. Helping all of this cutting edge luxury reach its destination is a 215 square foot cockpit featuring a sofa, sun pads and tender garage, as well as a dedicated navigation room.
A true trendsetter in the luxury catamaran design, Sunreef Yachts’ Sunreef 90 ULTIMATE looks to capture the freedom of sumptuous sea going adventures in one beautiful, technologically advanced vessel.
