London Marinas

By Chris Boyle

London Marina at night

With the majestic river Thames running through it, London is an excellent place to arrive at by water.

Travelers voyaging here by boat will pass from the wide Thames estuary into a gradually narrower, smaller waterway, passing iconic sights such as the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge, Christopher Wren’s baroque masterpiece The Royal Naval College, and opposite that the towering heights of Canary Wharf, with its famous rooftop light.

ST KATHARINE DOCKS

Located on the River Thames next to two of London’s most impressive landmarks – The Tower of London and Tower Bridge – St Katharine Docks is a popular parking spot for visiting pleasure craft.

Only a stone’s throw away from the business core of London, it offers 158 berths for craft of maximum 44m/145ft length, 12m/40ft width, and 3.35m/11ft draft, not to mention a variety of services, including on-site laundry, bathroom facilities, Wi-Fi, electricity 3 phase, 64amp and 16/32amp and fresh water. St Katharine Docks is also home to a plethora of independent boutiques and restaurants, as well as a gourmet food market every Friday, ensuring that guests at the marina can access all the comforts they require, and then some.
