SANDUNOVSKIE BANI

The most famous bath house in Moscow, the Sanduny is much more than just a place to come for a sauna.

Visitors flock here just to see the amazing interior décor that adorns the walls of this famous 18th century spa. The glamour and splendor seen in the many imperial palaces and hotels is also on display here: guests are greeted at the entrance by marble columns and red carpets, the hallways are embellished with friezes and sculptures, and the impressive arches and gold paintings make the Sanduny a completely unique spa experience. Treatments include massages, baths and saunas, as well as the infamous Russian banya treatment, a traditional style of sauna that dates back hundreds of years. Banya is not for the faint-hearted – the temperatures are oven-hot! The Sanduny also offers manicures, pedicures and tanning, and private baths are available.
