The brand’s first outpost in the United Arab Emirates opens Wednesday, May 1, 2013, on Abu Dhabi’s Al Marya Island.

The 189-key hotel will be situated near the Sowwah Square waterfront in the rapidly developing Central Business District on Al Marya Island. Hotel guests will have direct access to the island’s Galleria, a collection of retail and open-air dining outposts scheduled to debut in August.

Rosewood Abu Dhabi will have nine on-property restaurants as well, serving Lebanese, Indian, Mediterranean and Catalan fare. Hotel interiors will include custom furniture made from American walnut, and hand-blown Czech chandeliers. Staff uniforms were created by Italian fashion designer Domenico Vacca. The hotel will also have an outpost of Sense, Rosewood’s award-winning spa.
