Presidential Suite, The St. Regis San Francisco
The St. Regis San Francisco has been delivering renowned service and elevated luxury to the city’s vibrant SoMa neighborhood since opening in 2005.
The hotel’s central location makes it the perfect launchpad for many of the Golden Gate City’s major draws such as multiple Michelin-starred restaurants, designer boutiques on Geary Street, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of the African Diaspora (which the hotel shares its building with), and, of course, the city’s financial district.
In 2022, The St. Regis San Francisco unveiled the latest phase in a multi-year redevelopment, revealing a sophisticated update to its guestrooms and suites, meeting spaces, lobby and bar – as well as new fine dining hotspot, Astra.
Sitting on the hotel's top floor, the Presidential Suite is truly the crowning glory. Reimagined by Toronto-based interior firm Chipi Chapo design, the lofty 3,200-sq-ft suite melds classic with contemporary.
The suite's design is inspired by the rolling hills of San Francisco, the same hills that gave rise to the gold rush.
Neutral hues paired with marble, leather and gold detailing form the backdrop for custom artworks and bespoke furnishings with a mid-century vibe. The space feels effortlessly stylish.
From the expansive living area to the formal 10-person dining room, the one-bedroom suite's oversized windows welcome the city skyline in. There is also a study for those on business and a separate butler’s pantry for those seeking to experience the full St. Regis service.
And when speaking of St. Regis service, it's not just limited to a dedicated butler. Guests can request a chauffeur, concierge, masseuse or private chef during their stay.

The St. Regis San Francisco
Famed for its hilly streets, rich culture and iconic landmarks, San Francisco is the crown jewel of the West Coast. Right in the heart of the downtown SoMa district lies St. Regis, San Francisco, an ideal base for exploring the city. In 2022, the hotel unveiled the results of its latest renovation. The 260 rooms and suites have been beautifully refreshed; the most exclusive is the 3,200-sq-ft Presidential Suite which features a sprawling living room with sweeping views of San Franscisco.
The property’s signature restaurant, Astra, is well worth a visit, as is the stylish St. Regis Bar (you can’t go wrong with the Golden Gate Mary – the hotel’s take on a traditional Bloody Mary). Look out for the paintings and sculptures peppered throughout the property; the hotel is home to a burgeoning collection of works by local artists. And, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art is right next door.
