As its name suggests, 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge is just a stone’s throw from the Brooklyn Bridge, with sweeping views of the iconic landmark and Manhattan skyline. The waterfront retreat was designed by local artists using reclaimed materials and is powered entirely by wind energy. In keeping with the rest of the hotel, the 2,000-sq-ft, industrial-chic Riverhouse features thoughtful design details inspired by nature, from open-slatted wooden closets to a cloud of lampshades grown from mushroom mycelium spanning the ceiling. The bathroom features a triple-filtered rain shower and chiseled stone tub. Slip into your organic cotton robe and socks, and while away an afternoon sipping cocktails in the hammock overlooking the East River.
