Hotel Arts Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain

By Lauren Jade Hill

Standing 44 stories high, the Hotel Arts Barcelona is easily spotted towering above the Mediterranean Sea and the rest of the city. The unique architecture, with a blue glass and exposed steel facade, overlooks Frank Gehry’s shimmering bronze fish sculpture Peix. The interiors are just as contemporary; the suites’ subtle neutral palettes allow the incredible views to take center stage. Celebrating Barcelona’s culinary delights, the hotel has five restaurants, including the two-Michelin-starred Enoteca. On Sundays, Arola restaurant pays tribute to the local vermouth tradition (as locals say, “fer el vermut” — do the vermouth), offering a special tapas menu by chef Sergi Arola paired with vermouth-based cocktails.

Arts Suite from $9,500 per night. Contact Brunella Zinato, hotel manager, artsreservations@ritzcarlton.com,+34 932 211 000, hotelartsbarcelona.com
