Easily one of the most beloved collections from Zenith is the Defy, with its bold and daring appeal. Now, Zenith unveils the Defy 21 Spectrum watches that offer a few surprises. To begin with, the movement inside is equipped with the brand’s revolutionary El Primero 21 mechanical chronograph caliber that times to 1/100th of a second and beats at the ultra-high frequency of 360,000 vibrations per hour. The chronograph hand rotates once per second.
Additionally, certain movement components that are visible via the dial are coated in color-coordinated PVD to match the shimmering gemstones set into the stainless steel bezel. Each watch (produced in a spectrum of five colors that represent wavelengths of visible light) is set with 288 VVS quality diamonds on the case, and with 44 baguette-cut gemstones on the bezel. In this ultra-violet version, the stones are amethyst. In total, the watch boasts five carats of diamonds and gemstones. Each colorway is offered in a limited edition of just 10 pieces.
