ROSSI BOUTIQUE HOTEL

Rossi Boutique Hotel

Boutique Hotel Rossi is situated beside the Fontanka River amid the impressive architectural ensemble of Zodchego Rossi Street, within five minutes walk of Nevsky Prospekt, the Alexandrinsky Theatre, the Gostinny Dvor shopping mall and the Metro.

Boutique Hotel Rossi differs considerably from other hotels in the city with its homelike atmosphere and personalized service. Exclusive interiors complement the lovely exteriors, with carefully restored 19th century details and every room with its own unique design and everything you need for a comfortable stay – air conditioning, flat-screen TV, safe, minibar and free Wi-Fi internet access.

GRAND HOTEL EUROPE

Lidval Suite At Grand Hotel Europe

With a list of past guests – among them Sharon Stone and Sir Paul McCartney – that reads like a who’s who of Hollywood, Grand Hotel Europe has a 135-year history of welcoming VIPs from the world over.

Peruse the magnificently appointed interiors or sample the cuisine at one of seven onsite eateries and you’ll understand why. An overhaul in 1991 gave new life to the hotel and visitors will find the blend of pre- Revolutionary Russia and modern amenities a welcoming experience. Arguably one of the finest hotels in the city, Grand Hotel Europe will have you feeling like a Tsar.

TOP SUITE LIDVAL PRESIDENTIAL SUITE

Why we love it: French designer Michael Jouannet, known for his restoration work on classic hotels like Rio de Janeiro’s Copacabana Palace, has combined history with high style in this suite’s luxurious interiors. The end result recalls the opulence and elegance of St Petersburg in the era of Emperor Alexander I – without sacrificing an ounce of comfort, thanks to silk fabrics and soft furnishings. This generously-sized suite offers a large living room with an adjoining glass-covered winter garden, a marble and lacquered wood bathroom and an antique-styled bedroom. Amenities include a minibar, satellite TV with DVD player, wireless internet and a Bose music center. Guests can order dinner service for their room, have clothing laundered and acquire theater tickets, all arranged through the Grand Hotel Europe’s unique butler service at the press of a button.

The Kempinski Hotel group has a worldwide reputation for luxury and the St Petersburg branch is no exception.

Widely regarded by many critics to be the finest hotel in the city, the Kempinski Hotel Moika 22 has built its reputation on providing an unrivalled level of personal service from the staff. CORINTHIA HOTEL

Corinthia Hotel

The result of a reconstruction of two 19th century mansions, the Corinthia Hotel is a modern, elegant hotel ideally located in the very heart of St Petersburg.

The art and greenery of the Corinthia’s lobby gives you a stylish welcome and sets the tone for the luxury prevalent throughout the hotel. The staff and services on offer are befitting of the finest hotels in Europe, but the real attraction of the Corinthia is the conference facilities: fully equipped rooms with a total capacity of 1,000 people are available and organized for you by the hotel. Highly practical for businessmen and women, the Corinthia is a lavish yet convenient affair that will satisfy elite travelers.

TOP SUITE ROYAL SUITE

Why we love it: Comfortably one of the largest suites in the city, the Royal Suite is also one of the most luxurious. Relaxing is easy in the spacious living room, where the elegant, creamy décor encourages you to sit back and put your feet up. Alternatively, the living area boasts a study and kitchenette, and the suite can (on request) contain up to three bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. Featuring a butler service exclusive to this suite, along with an impressive range of services that include all-day refreshments in the Executive Club lounge, Wi-Fi internet and breakfast either in-room or at the fantastic Imperial Restaurant, it is hard to think of a reason not to stay in the Royal Suite.

RADISSON ROYAl HOTEL

Radisson Royal Hotel

One of the oldest buildings in St Petersburg, the Radisson Royal Hotel dates back to the 1730s, although it was not until 1779 that the building became a hotel.

Recently refurbished, the hotel seamlessly blends the history of the building with modern state-of-the-art facilities. Handily located in the fashionable Nevsky Prospect area, the hotel has been the choice of some of Russia’s fi nest: Alexander Pushkin once stayed here. Services include a fully equipped fi tness and health room, and the stylish Canelle Bar is a great place to sit and enjoy views of the city through the large panoramic windows.

TOP SUITE ROYAL SUITE

Why we love it: In a hotel with as much history as the Radisson Royal Hotel, it’s no surprise to fi nd that the aptly-named Royal Suite has hosted such distinguished guests as the Queen of Sweden. The spacious living room has several different areas; relaxation, dining and work. The bedroom features a king-size bed and the bathroom comes with heated fl ooring for those cold St Petersburg winters. Stylishly decorated, the Royal Suite has sumptuous views over the famous Nevsky Prospekt and will have you feeling like royalty.

HOTEL ASTORIA

Rakhmaninov Suite , Hotel Astoria

One of St Petersburg’s most renowned hotels, the Astoria was widely known for its grandeur in the lead up to the October Revolution.

Recently restored and renovated, the hotel is a statement in class and luxury, with interiors that reflect the splendor of the city. An array of artwork decorates the lobby and hallway areas, while the rooms combine elegant décor with comfort and tranquility. The on-site Davidoff restaurant is a great place to experience traditional Russian cuisine, and the spa facilities are excellent. Business travelers will find fantastic conference rooms that can accommodate up to 450 people and include stateof- the-art facilities. Located near the wonderful Mariinsky Theatre and with sumptuous views over St Isaac’s Square, the Astoria has once again become world-renowned for its grandeur.

TOP SUITE COMPOSER SUITES

Why we love it: Most luxurious hotels have one or two outstanding suites; the Hotel Astoria has five, each named for a famous Russian composer – Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, Rakhmaninov, Shostakovich and Stravinsky. Each of the suites feature two bedrooms and a living room, and continue the hotel’s theme of sophistication and elegance, with a décor that includes paintings, sculptures and chandeliers. The main difference between the suites is your choice of view; do you prefer to gaze out over the Statue of Nicholas II and the Mariinsky Palace, or the beautiful St Isaac’s Square and Cathedral?

SOKOS HOTEL PALACE BRIDGE

Another relatively modern hotel in the city, the Sokos Hotel Palace Bridge is something of a novelty in St Petersburg in that it is a hotel based around a health center.

Once a set of warehouses used by the Eliseey brothers, famous food and wine merchants, the 19th century building houses a magnificent spa, the Holiday Club and Spa Wellness. The hotel itself is equally impressive, with rooms packed full of modern amenities, a selection of dining options and a host of conference facilities. The largest of these, the Ball Room, can accommodate up to 300 people. Located on the banks of the Neva River, the hotel is a short walk from many of the major attractions of the city and with the finest spa in the city within its confines, it’s the perfect place to relax after a long day’s sightseeing.

TOP SUITE EXECUTIVE SUITE

Why we love it: The top room at the Sokos Palace Bridge Hotel, the Executive Suite fits in perfectly with the style of the hotel: modern, practical and comfortable, this luxurious suite is an ideal place to unwind after a day out in St Petersburg. The bedroom features a king-size bed and an en suite bathroom, and like the large living room, is decorated in a simple, traditional style. The living room also has a separate work space with a writing desk, a dining area with a table for four, a large television with satellite channels and a fully equipped kitchen.
