ANNUALLY IN AUGUST
For half a century the town of Lefkas has hosted this charming international event which celebrates the cultural heritage of thousands of countries worldwide.
Troupes of folk musicians and dancers from all over the globe perform throughout the town, each dressed in colorful traditional attire. Around one thousand dancers, musicians and singers descend on the island to take part, filling the town with a festival atmosphere. The streets come alive with parades, theater performances and concerts which are attended by prominent members of the Greek government and visiting diplomats.
