Every year in the city that inspired Strauss, Schubert, Mozart and many other musical legends, the Vienna Philharmonic – widely regarded as one of the finest orchestras in the world – plays three traditional New Year’s concerts: on New Year’s Eve, on New Year’s Day, and a preview on December 30.
These wonderful concerts take place at the beautiful Musikverein, one of the most magnificent concert halls in the city, and are dedicated to the spectacular repertoire of Johann Strauss, his family and contemporaries.
