The Silver Cloud Expedition is the most luxurious vessel in the cruise line’s expedition fleet. Towering prisms of ice and deep blue seas provide a majestic backdrop for close encounters with colonies of Adélie, gentoo and emperor penguins, and for astonishing sightings of minke and humpback whales as they soar out of the icy water. Journeying from Punta Arenas on the southern tip of Chile from November to February each year, the ship sails to the wild, windswept Falkland Islands and across the dramatic Drake Passage before reaching the white desert of Antarctica, where she navigates the Antarctic Peninsula and its volcanic rock islands before ending the return journey in Argentina’s southernmost town, Ushuaia.
