Fourth of July may be behind us, but summer in the Hamptons is only just getting started.
Whether you’re settling in for a season by the beach, escaping New York City for a coastal week away, or planning a big weekend out East, there are plenty of new restaurants, cafes, boutiques, and nightlife spots to discover.
From European-style beach clubs to matcha bars, these are the new hotspots shaping this year.
The hottest new restaurants in the Hamptons
Barlume Beach, Montauk
Opening this summer in Montauk, Barlume Beach brings a European-style beach club to the East Coast, combining dining, a boutique hotel, and a waterfront marina. The project marks the second Hamptons opening from LDV Hospitality, the group behind The Maidstone Hotel and Scarpetta.
The 19-key property spans seven coastal acres and the marina has 19 slips available for daytime docking and seasonal rental. The beach club takes cues from LDV’s Flatiron restaurant Barlume, with a Mediterranean-inspired menu designed for long afternoons that stretch into evening.
Weekend programming will include afternoon sessions, dinner, and late-night DJ sets on Fridays and Saturdays. During the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Barlume Beach will also host watch parties with Rocco’s Sports & Rec, alongside cocktails, bites, and limited-edition merchandise. Guests looking to get out on the water can also book discounted surf lessons through Local Legend Surf Co.
Sunset Supper Club, Surf Lodge, Montauk
Montauk’s summer party hotspot Surf Lodge has introduced a new concept for the season: a sunset supper club bringing a rotating lineup of culinary talent to the sand. Every Thursday evening, guests can expect a special menu from a visiting chef, alongside live music and curated cocktails, creating a more intimate, community-focused dining experience. The 5pm and 7pm seatings are ticketed, while the 8pm seating is reserved for invite-only guests.
The series launched with London chef Thomas Straker and a live performance from Chaparelle, and will continue with a strong lineup throughout the season, including Chef Orianne Shapira of Shmoné on July 9, Chef Dustin Everett of Fish Cheeks with music from G. Love on July 16, and Comal’s Chef Gaz Herbert on July 23, with further events planned throughout August and Labor Day weekend.
Nourish by The Roundtree, Bridgehampton
Nourish is a new restaurant from the executive chef of Amagansett’s boutique hotel, The Roundtree. Chef Dewa Wijata brings two decades of experience with COMO Hotels, including time at COMO Shambhala Estate in Bali, to a menu shaped by Balinese-inspired wellness principles and seasonal East Coast produce.
The dining room is understated but buzzy, with warm service, window-side booths, and a standout bar program. Leading the drinks offering is Takuma Watanabe, the Tokyo-born founder and beverage director behind Martiny’s, whose accolades include Bartender of the Year at the Spirits Business Awards, Best Bartender in North America at the Shaker Awards, and a 2025 James Beard semi-finalist recognition. Cocktails follow the rhythm of the Hamptons’ growing season, incorporating locally foraged botanicals and fruit from Long Island orchards.
Alba Spiaggia, Montauk
Marina resort Montauk Yacht Club has replaced Ocean Club Montauk with Alba Spiaggia, a new Italian restaurant joining sister concepts in Manhattan and Los Angeles. Chef Adam Leonti will serve coastal Italian cuisine alongside wood-fired pizzas, handmade pastas, and heartier dishes, including steak Florentine.
The restaurant sits dockside on Lake Montauk, welcoming resort guests, outside visitors, and those arriving by boat.
The best new cafes in the Hamptons
The Lighthouse Cafe, Montauk
Sean MacPherson, the hotelier behind Hotel Chelsea, The Bowery Hotel, and Montauk favorite The Crow’s Nest, has opened the Lighthouse Cafe at Montauk Point State Park, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The casual new spot replaces The Lighthouse Grill and sits beneath Montauk Point Lighthouse, commissioned by George Washington in 1792 and the oldest lighthouse in New York State.
The menu draws inspiration from Montauk’s surf culture and French coastal towns including Biarritz and Hossegor. Drinks span coffee, Arnold Palmers, draft beer, aperitifs, cocktails, and wine, while the food menu moves from breakfast pastries to French-inspired all-day dishes and Basque-style pintxos, including croque-monsieur, quiche Lorraine and merguez – a spicy lamb sausage served with harissa and labneh – alongside salads and desserts.
Ralph’s Coffee at Mudford Farm, East Hampton
New York’s beloved Ralph’s Coffee is making its East Hampton debut this summer, bringing its signature green truck to the town through September. Parked beneath the landmark windmill at Mulford Farm, the pop-up will serve its usual Ralph’s Roast alongside espresso tonics, matcha lemonades, and the Mulford Farm Spritz, a sparkling pomegranate limeade, with proceeds supporting the East Hampton Historical Society.
Guests can settle into white wicker chairs beneath green-and-white umbrellas, challenge friends to a lawn game or pick up baked goods from Amber Waves Farm & Market. An exclusive Ralph’s Coffee capsule featuring a Mulford Farm illustration will also be available.
Montauk General Store, Montauk
Montauk General Store may have only opened its doors this season, but thanks to TikTok, it has already become one of the Hamptons’ most recognizable cups to carry. More matcha bar than coffee shop, the concept is built around its signature bright green matcha drinks, finished with an Instagram-ready cold foam topping.
Beyond the drinks menu, the store sells a collection of sought-after merchandise, including branded knitwear, totes, caps, shorts and, naturally, matcha tin bag charms. It has also teamed up with local favorites throughout the season for limited-edition snacks and merch drops – so it’s worth keeping an eye on what appears next.
Fellini Coffee, The Maidstone, East Hampton
Fellini Coffee, founded by chef and restaurateur Franco Noriega, is bringing its first coffee truck to the Hamptons this summer. Set on the front lawn of The Maidstone in East Hampton, the seasonal outpost will serve espresso drinks, matcha, brewed teas, pastries and more – offering another stylish stop for hotel guests, visitors, and locals on their morning coffee run. While you’re there, pop into the hotel’s Stuart Weitzman pop-up, which is hosting a curated selection of seasonal-inspired pieces including wedges, platforms, and sandals, as well as men’s footwear and sunglasses – open through end of July.
The best new shops in the Hamptons
Chanel, East Hampton
Chanel is coming to East Hampton this summer, bringing its Parisian heritage to a new boutique on Newton Lane. The traditional white-brick space will showcase the house’s ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, and accessories, alongside a dedicated watches and fine jewelry section.
For the beach-bound Hamptons wardrobe, the boutique will also feature pieces from the Chanel Coco Beach 2026 collection, including denim totes, raffia-braided flap bags, striped silk separates, and gold shell-inspired jewelry.
Not-A-Normal-Show, Bridgehampton
New York City’s Not-A-Normal Show is making its Hamptons debut this summer, taking over The Hub Hampton in Bridgehampton from July 10–12. The quarterly showcase brings together a mix of vintage dealers, independent designers, artists, and emerging brands, with the one-off Hamptons edition featuring more than 40 exhibitors.
The pop-up will offer Hamptonians and visitors a chance to browse and discover one-of-a-kind pieces, from accessories and jewelry to clothing and homeware, with a focus on vintage, handmade, and small-batch pieces.
Madewell, Sag Harbor
Madewell has opened its doors on Sag Harbor’s Main Street, taking over a prime spot at 102 Main Street. The new boutique is designed to feel more like a modern artist’s studio than a traditional store, and will showcase the brand’s summer-ready collection of signature denim, linen pieces, dresses, accessories, and warm-weather separates.
The store also offers exclusive Sag Harbor merchandise, including “Thank You for Visiting Sag Harbor” tees and hoodies – a great seasonal keepsake.
Violet Grey, East Hampton
Beauty retailer Violet Grey has opened a new store in East Hampton, bringing its edit of sought-after skincare and makeup brands to the Hamptons. Designed by Rafael de Cárdenas in collaboration with Farin Samnani, the space features a selection of beauty names including Augustinus Bader, Dr. Barbara Sturm, and Victoria Beckham Beauty.
Nightlife
Chelsea Living Room, Gurney’s, Montauk
Waterfront resort Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa is welcoming New York’s Chelsea Living Room for its first Hamptons residency this season. Taking over the resort’s Dune Lounge, Chelsea Living Room East brings its martini-focused approach to the coast with oceanfront cocktails, caviar service, and a rotating program of DJs and live music.
The residency’s menu is designed around shareable lounge-style plates, including the brand’s signature crispy cheese and caviar, alongside a new lobster and caviar toast. As the sun sets, guests can move between the fire pit, waterfront lounge, and late-night programming.
