NEW YORK, NY — A recent Christie’s auction of valuable jewelry saw a number of gold items fetch particularly high prices, including Buccellati.
One such lot, an 18-c gold hinged cuff by Buccellati, went for double its original estimate at $80,500 (£49,317) at the December 10th sale. Another gold Buccellati bracelet fetched $72,100 compared with its estimate of between $30,000 and $50,000, while an unusual gold and steel butterfly bowl by Daniel Brush sold for $50,000.
Some of the other jewellers and brands represented in the auction included Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Bulgari, Boucheron and Tiffany & Co.
