El Al Completes Upgrade Of 747-400 Jumbos

By Pardhasaradhi Gonuguntla

NEW YORK– EL AL, Israel’s national airline, announced the completion of the first of four 747-400 EL AL jumbo aircraft, named Tel Aviv-Jaffa, as part of the airline’s ongoing fleet renewal and continued commitment to provide an uncompromised level of comfort and service to all passengers.

The newly upgraded jumbo, which will be utilized on the New York (JFK/Newark) route, features state-of-the-art sleeper seats in first and business class as well as enhanced seats in economy. The recent inaugural flight flew from Ben Gurion International Airport in Israel to JFK in New York.

Every seat on the plane is now also equipped with an electronic socket for laptops and a sophisticated digital in-flight entertainment system that offers an even wider variety of programming. Passengers traveling in any class of service will now experience a modernized, fresh in-flight décor, adding to an overall improved flight.
