By Pardhasaradhi Gonuguntla

Jerusalem, Israel — Grammy-award winning singer Sir Elton John will perform in Israel on June 27th, his first concert in Israel in 17 years. The concert will take place at Ramat Gam Stadium in Tel Aviv, following performances by Matisyahu and Metallica this year, according to a press release received by Elite Traveler.

A bit closer, the first-ever Tour d’Israel will feature a five-day, 480-mile cycling competition throughout Israel, March 7-11. Participants will begin atop the snow-capped Mount Hermon in the north and travel through the Galilee, Nazareth, around the contours of the Mediterranean, Jerusalem, Masada, the Dead Sea, Be’er Sheva, Negev Desert, and finish the race on the shores of the Red Sea in Eilat. www.tourtheisrael.com
