Fame Route— a membership-based private-jet travel club—recently launched to offer an alternative to the old private jet charter model. By offering “jet-pooling” for serious business travelers Fame Route hopes to spearhead a move toward moderation and good sense to private jet travel.
Fame Route is a third option that exists between commercial and private aviation, and it services an untapped third market of Americans who are not yet private jet owners, are not fractional owners, and who seek another travel and aviation option.
Fame Route’s monthly membership cost is $1,000, in addition to a $500 dollar annual surcharge, and each round trip flight costs between $3,500 and $5,000 dollars. This comes out to roughly $17,000 for a yearly membership. A traditional round trip charter flight from New York to Los Angeles costs upward of $30,000.
