JERUSALEM, ISRAEL — In honor of its 25th anniversary, the Israeli Opera will present two sunrise performances of Verdi’s Nabucco and a special concert with world-renowned diva Jessye Norman at the footsteps of Masada, June 3-5.
According to a press release received by Elite Traveler, the sunrise performances of Verdi’s Nabucco will be directed by Israeli conductor Daniel Oren and feature Georgian opera singer Paata Burchuladze on an elaborately built stage at the foot of Masada. The weekend will showcase a gala concert featuring American soprano Jessye Norman accompanied by the Israeli Opera Orchestra (June 4) and a selection of tours and sunrise concerts atop Masada.
