Men’s tailoring master, Kiton, has recently expanded his client’s immaculate wardrobes to include sportswear, outerwear, denim, shoes, luggage and even wardrobe furniture itself. Now, in time for the spring/summer 2009 season, Kiton’s first luxury sunglasses will be available too. Showcased at last week’s Pitti Immagine Uomo menswear show in Florence, Italy, the new collection will consist of six styles initially. The two most precious styles are aviators made from 35 grams of 18K yellow or white gold. Each customer will have the option of choosing a number of custom details for their pair, including having their name subtly engraved on the arms of the frames. Pricing is expected to be about 6,000 euros. The other styles in the collection, all crafted in Japan, consist of a combination of luxurious materials as well, such as titanium injected into acetate without the use of screws. Pricing for these models will be about 700 euros.
