London, England – Reported by Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine
Luxury goods retailer Asprey is collaborating with famed British artist Chris Levine, known primarily for using light as his canvas, to create a 3D portrait of Queen Elizabeth complete with 1,000 white brilliant-cut diamonds.
Craftsmen from Asprey are working to install the diamonds into a piece of platinum, which will then serve as the recreation of the Queen’s diamond diadem, worn on her coronation sixty years ago.
The piece, called The Diamond Queen, will be on display for four weeks from May 28 till June 27 before it is sold in late June.
Proceeds from the sale will go towards two of Queen Elizabeth’s charities, The Woodland Trust and QEST (Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust).
