NEW YORK — Dutch St. Maarten is launching this weekend a rebranding to position the destination as a convenient hub for affluent travelers who want to hop to nearby Caribbean islands such as St. Bart’s and Anguilla. The destination is already a prime entry point for private jet travelers because of its international airport that can handle VIP movements up to 747s.
Commissioner of Tourism, Economic Affairs and Sport Frans G. Richardson here to make the announcement said that his island is also a popular haven for yachters.
The new marketing campaign features a redesigned logo and look meant to provide an exciting and contemporary image. Ads will run on television in key markets and transition to both out-of-home and print, including a new lifestyle website to debut as well.
