By Pardhasaradhi Gonuguntla

ZURICH, Switzerland — SWISS, the flag carrier of Switzerland, will re-start flights from Zurich to San Francisco beginning June 2, 2010. The airline plans to operate the flight six times per week using long-range A340 aircraft including First and Business Class cabins.

In a press release received by Elite Traveler, SWISS CEO Harry Hohmeister commented, “By adding San Francisco to our network, we are meeting a strong demand that we have heard and felt from many major companies and large numbers of leisure-travel customers.”

In addition to connections throughout Europe, the MIddle East, Africa and Asia via Zurich, SWISS offers on-demand private jet service enabling its passengers to create their own custom itineraries.
