By Pardhasaradhi Gonuguntla

The much-anticipated opening of Bermuda’s first luxury hotel in 37 years, Tucker’s Point Hotel & Spa, was celebrated last night with a ribbon-cutting and gala, officiated by The Honorable Dr. Ewart Brown, Prime Minister of Bermuda. Chairpersons Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Dr. Ewart Brown and Tucker’s Point CEO Ed Trippe (pictured left to right) cut the ribbon. Among Bermuda’s most famous residents, Douglas and Zeta-Jones were on hand to help raise donations for the gala’s beneficiary: the local King Edward VII Memorial Hospital Redevelopment Project.
