Celebrity chef José Andrés returns to Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, this October with some of the world’s most creative culinary minds for the third annual Culinary Getaway.
The lush oceanfront sanctuary in Puerto Rico once again plays host for a one-of-a-kind gastronomic weekend filled with interactive cooking demonstrations, exclusive oceanfront dinners and a truly memorable culinary and cultural experience.
Chef Andrés, one of Time’s “100 Most Influential People”, welcomes esteemed peers and personal friends Ludo Lefebvre, Tyler Florence and Lorena Garcia, to host events throughout the weekend. Top chefs from around Puerto Rico will also be invited to display their culinary skills in a special event alongside Chef Andrés.
This year’s Dorado Beach Culinary getaway will also celebrate a year since the storied Reserve reopened its doors following the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria.
“We are thrilled to present the highly-anticipated third annual Culinary Getaway weekend to our discerning guests,” said George Sotelo, General Manager of Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. “This glorious weekend celebration is another stepping stone helping us to rebuild the splendor that our Island of Enchantment, Puerto Rico, is known for.”
Taking place from October 10-13, the Dorado Culinary Getaway will present guests with a number of opportunities to meet the revered chefs as well as sample their latest creations. There will also be a charity gala to benefit World Central Kitchen, a non-profit founded by Chef Andés that has delivered millions of life-saving meals to those afflicted by natural disasters.
Prices for the Dorado Beach Culinary Getaway package start at $1,945 plus taxes per night per room. The price includes daily continental breakfast for two at the resort’s new signature restaurant, COA, a daily $100 resort credit and participation in many of the culinary events throughout the weekend.
