Following Brioni’s recent expansions into Dubai, New Delhi and Macao, the Italian luxury brand opens a mens and women’s boutique in Zagreb, Croatia, this week. Thanks to increasing demand for high quality fashions in the region, the company’s CEO Andrea Perrone explained that Brioni is excited at the prospect of its boutiques and sophisticated looks in the Balkan region.
“The first time Brioni was in Zagreb was in 1971 for a fashion show and it proved how much the company has always been a pioneer in the world of fashion,” Perrone said.
In fact, the brand was named after the Brioni Islands off the coast of Istria in northern Croatia, a link which Perrone describes as “a magical inspiration for such an exclusive brand.”
The boutique in Zagreb will offer pret-a-porter collections but also tailoring service by appointment. The boutique marks the beginning of a series of openings in 2009, including new stores in Istanbul, Beirut, Shanghai, St. Petersburg and Lugano.
