One&Only Palmilla Celebrates Annual Mexican Culinary Festival

By Pardhasaradhi Gonuguntla

Los Cabos, Mexico – Reported by Erin Riley for Elite Traveler, the private jet lifestyle magazine

One&Only Palmilla will host its second annual Mexican Culinary Festival from November 7 to 11. The world-renowned beachfront resort hopes to introduce guests to an authentic culinary experience, recreating an elegant old-world Mexican setting to complement the rich flavors of the event. On the program, a convivial atmosphere filled with mouth-watering eats by acclaimed Mexican chefs, colored with indigenous chilies and the most tantalizing herbs and spices, along with a selection of wines from award-winning vineyards of the Guadalupe Valley.

The culinary heart of the festival will be located in the resort’s festive and intimate new outdoor kitchen and herb garden, where guests will be able to participate in daily chef demonstrations, as well as be treated to three custom dinners, each prepared and orchestrated by a different visiting chef. Guests are encouraged to pace themselves for days of culinary splendor, as renowned visiting chefs, Roberto Solis of Néctar, Jair Téllez of Laja and Merotoro, and the returning talent from last year’s culinary festival chef Enrique Olvera of PUJOL, will serve up a steady succession of traditional Mexican- and Mediterranean-inspired dishes.

The Mexican Culinary Festival package also includes a special welcome dinner prepared by One&Only Palmilla’s Executive Chef Larbi Dahrouch from the acclaimed Agua Restaurant, as well as the resort’s head sommelier, Manuel Arteaga, who will curate meals with carefully selected wines from the Guadalupe Valley. Guests will also have the opportunity to attend special meet and greets, seminars, tasting and expert discussions featuring esteemed local winemakers and mescal producers.

The delectable package for two also includes luxury accommodations for the four nights of the festival and private round transfers to and from the airport, as well as invitations to all culinary events and a special dinner prepared by Executive Chef Larbi Dahrouch ($4094 a night).
