On the evening of June 10th, top watch collectors, aficionados, and other Elite guests will preview the highlights in Antiquorum’s “Important Modern & Vintage Timepieces” auction at Antiquorum’s gallery in New York City.
Guests at the preview will sip vintages graciously provided by Penfolds as they learn about unique timepieces from Patek Philippe, A. Lange & Sohne and Tourbillon Watches.
Antiquorum, the world’s premier auctioneers of modern and vintage timepieces, will offer a total of 626 fine and exceptional modern and vintage timepieces in the sale, which will take place on June 22 in Hong Kong.
A collection of fine Patek Philippe wristwatches highlight the sale, including Ref. 5029, minute repeater in 18K pink gold, Ref. 5971 Baguette Diamond Bezel in Platinum, and a number of rare, unique and highly collectible tourbillon wristwatches. Amongst the top lots offered, Antiquorum is pleased to present an extraordinary collection of 75 rare timepieces from the property of a Japanese collector including an outstanding Jaeger-LeCoultre Gyrotourbillon 1, a Harry Winston “Opus 2” and Patek Philippe Ref. 5970 perpetual calendar chronograph wristwatches in platinum and pink gold.
The highlight of the sale is the Patek Philippe Ref. 5029, a minute repeater in 18K pink gold. Made in a limited edition of 10 examples in 1997 to commemorate the inauguration of the new Patek Philippe manufactory in Geneva, it is an extremely rare, minute-repeating, self-winding, 18K pink gold chronometer wristwatch with an 18K pink gold Patek Philippe buckle. The piece is accompanied by a fitted presentation box, Certificate of Origin, Attestation, COSC certificate, booklets and additional original strap with chronometer tag.
