Style/Ambiance: Boisdale owner Ranald Macdonald [sic] claims to love four things in life: Scotland, whiskey, jazz and cigars.
All of these are well represented in this cozy homage to Scotland in the heart of London’s financial district. With sister restaurants in Belgravia and Canary Wharf, this basement branch is tucked away at the end of a Dickensian alley and down a flight of Tartan-clad stairs. The menu includes Scottish classics like haggis, neeps and tatties, and the list of single malt whiskeys must be the longest in London. The main dining room can host private parties of up to 72 guests, and the separate McGonagall Room can be booked for 42 guests.
