Beyond the Boats: What to See at Monaco Yacht Show

Superyachts may be the headline but one of the world's biggest boat shows has plenty more to offer.

The 2025 Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) is creeping ever closer, with owners, brokers and builders all busy making preparations for one of the biggest events in the boating calendar. At the latest headcount, nearly 120 yachts are set to be present and 50 new models are poised to make their debut from September 24-27.

But, while the yachts themselves are, understandably, the headline act in Port Hercule, the Monaco Yacht Show has also emerged as a hub for art and innovation. Away from the flash of record breaking boats, attendees can find a series of activations and exhibitions showing the full scope of this diverse industry.

Among the most exciting at the 2025 show is Blue Wake, a new programme introduced this year to highlight sustainable practices and advancements in the yachting world. Launched on the back of the 2022 Sustainability Hub, Blue Wake spotlights forward-thinking brands and individuals with the aim of seamlessly integrating environmental consciousness into the wider boat show programming.

“Sustainability has become an essential driver of innovation in yachting, and our role at MYS is to provide a platform where these advancements can gain the recognition they deserve,”says Gaëlle Tallarida, managing director of the Monaco Yacht Show.

“With Blue Wake, we are reinforcing this commitment by ensuring that sustainability is an integral part of the event experience, engaging all stakeholders in meaningful discussions about the future of our industry.”

On the back of this, the show will also host the Monaco Yacht Summit: a series of intelligent conferences and roundtables running throughout the course of the event. From environmental advancements to becoming a first-time owner, these panels aim to offer a comprehensive, no-holds-barred look at the industry’s current pitfalls, triumphs and challenges. All are open to MYS attendees.

In celebration of the advancements the industry has made in its long lifetime, the Monaco Yacht Show 2025 will also play host to ‘Tribute to Yachting,’ an exhibit by French photographer Guillaume Plisson.

Raised on a sailboat, Plisson’s life and career has seen him established as one of the most respected yacht and ocean photographers, with particular renown for his sensitive perception of the yachting world. The exhibit will have a special preview at the MYS opening party, before being displayed throughout the course of the event at multiple port-side locations.

For the ultimate MYS experience, VIP guests are invited to discover the Sapphire Experience. The show’s premium level of hospitality, this offering gives unparalleled access to brokers, designers and builders, and includes special lounge access, car service, private yacht tours, and gala and party invites.
