The Louis Moinet Astronef watch, three years in the research and development stages, takes inspiration from the brand’s Space Revolution, but with a more defined triple-level caliber that boasts two highspeed tourbillons rotating in opposite directions and on different levels, to compensate for the effects of gravity when the watch is in certain positions on the wrist. The two tourbillon escapements cross paths every three minutes, 20 seconds — making for a delightful dance on the wrist, held together with the hands in a tower structure. In total, six different elements are constantly in motion. The new movement consists of 471 parts. The watch is crafted in sapphire crystal and 18-karat gold.
