The Suite
Designed by André Fu, this two-story glass pavilion houses The Residence at Claridge's, one of London's most sought-after private stays in Mayfair. The curved terrace, which features a crescent-shaped hydrotherapy pool, sits high above the city, operating less like a typical rooftop and more like a private urban perch.
Inside, a double-height rotunda acts as the architectural centerpiece, where a sculptural marble staircase links the two levels. The layout successfully balances grand scale with intimate functionality, making it ideal for both hosting large gatherings and quiet retreat. The salon transitions smoothly into a dining area, illuminated by custom fixtures, with a fluted marble bar set nearby for late-night toasts.
The design emphasizes quality across every surface. Bespoke craftsmanship defines the space, visible everywhere from the hand-selected artwork to the richly layered textiles used throughout. Two emperor-sized bedrooms offer deep comfort and complete discretion, each serviced by its own marble bathroom.
The Hotel
A longstanding icon of Mayfair luxury, Claridge’s has been a favorite of royalty, celebrities, and world travelers for decades. The hotel’s Art Deco interiors are complemented by elegantly designed rooms and suites, each offering a timeless aesthetic. Afternoon tea in the Foyer & Reading Room is a cherished tradition, while The Fumoi and The Painter’s Room serve expertly crafted drinks. For a lavish meal, reserve a table Claridge’s Restaurant (its Sunday lunch is especially wonderful). The subterranean spa, featuring holistic wellness treatments, provides a serene retreat. With its discreet service and prime location near Bond Street, Claridge’s remains a quintessential London destination.
