The Suite

Designed by era-defining architect Morris Lapidus in 1953, The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach is a mid-century landmark in the heart of Miami’s Architectural District.

The ‘Miami Modern’ resort reopened in 2020 following an impressive $90m, multi-year renovation. The result is a sophisticated fusion of contemporary touches with Lapidus’s treasured Art Deco signature design.

Nowhere is this more apparent than in the one-bedroom Ritz-Carlton Suite. With a considered design reflecting the culture and history of Miami Beach, the suite strikes the perfect level of beachside glamor.

In the lounge, sumptuous textures and sculptural furnishings like a curved cobalt couch contrast against clean white walls and a light herringbone floor. An expanse of floor-to-ceiling windows invites in turquoise vistas from across Miami Beach.

Lit by a gold spherical pendant, a sophisticated circular dining table seats six, and also transforms into a billiard table. The built-in bar can be stocked with guests' favorite top-shelf liquors and wines. Guests can also opt to have their preferred cocktail crafted in the privacy of the suite.

The gold and azul hues continue in the stunning master bedroom which boasts a California King bed. The focal point is a tremendous bespoke headboard adorned with geometric shapes and deco-style floating side tables. A sprawling walk-in closet leads to a light-filled marble bathroom with a circular standalone soaking tub and double vanity,

The suite also features a kitchen and guest bathroom and can be expanded to encapsulate an adjoining room for larger parties.

As well as dining in-suite or at the exclusive Ritz-Carlton Club VIP Lounge, guests can also enjoy upscale Mediterranean cuisine at Zaytinya by Michelin-starred chef José Andrés, and elevated light bites and signature cocktails at Lapidus Bar.

A trip to The Ritz-Carlton Spa is also a must, with a host of nourishing and holistic treatments, it acts as an urban sanctuary on bustling South Beach.
