PRIVATE DINING IN THE HOTEL’S LIBRARY

Whether a sumptuous bed, a spectacular view or service beyond compare – choose from our stunning selection

HOTEL AMIGO

HOTEL LOBBY

The location of this hotel could not be any more perfect: positioned among the cobbled streets surrounding the Grand Place and within walking distance of all the major attractions in Brussels.

Each of the 173 rooms is luxuriously furnished and features prints by Marcel Broodthaers and René Magritte which serve as a reminder of Brussels’s surrealist heroes. As a member of the Rocco Forte hotel group, a name associated with cosmopolitan elegance, expect the highest standard of service and facilities. The hotel has a gym, meeting and banqueting rooms, and a restaurant that is firmly on the city’s culinary map – overseen by Chef Guiseppe Colella, Ristorante Bocconi serves contemporary Italian cuisine.

TOP SUITE ROYAL SUITE ARMAND BLATON

ROYAL SUITE ARMAND BLATON LIVING ROOM

Why we love it: High above the rooftops, the outdoor terrace of this suite is what makes it one of the most envied in Brussels. Spread over 650 square feet and overlooking the iconic Brussels Town Hall, this terrace is the perfect stage for alfresco dining or an evening drinks party. But the interior is not to be overlooked, filling the large hallway, sitting room, dining room and bedroom are paintings from the hotel’s original collection. A fireplace adds warmth during the winter and comfortable furnishings make the suite feel like a home away from home. A touch of humor has also been added – the en-suite bathroom is enlivened with figures of Tintin, Snowy the Dog and Captain Haddock.

ROYAL WINDSOR HOTEL

GRAND PLACE SUITE © Design Hotelsotels

Firmly established as a landmark in the heart of Brussels, the Royal Windsor is a hotel that boasts all of the glamour and elegance that comes with its name.

Only moments from the Grand Place and Square congress center, and within walking distance of many other landmarks in the city, it is ideally situated for both business and leisure. The Royal Windsor boasts more amenities than most of the city’s other hotels with multiple dining options – including the legendary Chutney’s restaurant, a fitness center and even a nightclub.

TOP SUITE THE GRAND PLACE SUITE

THE GRAND PLACE SUITE

Why we love it: The largest suite in the city, the enormous Grand Place Suite was only opened in May 2011 and is already acquiring a reputation among the city’s regular elite travelers. From the moment you step out of the private elevator into the living room you can’t help but notice the exquisite paneling and art deco antiques. The same attention to décor is given to the dining area, private office, bedroom and en-suite bathroom with its gold crystal Murano mosaic. Then there is the vast outdoor terrace, which, with its beautifully modern furnishings, overlooks Brussels’s most famous old landmark, the Grand Place. Guests of this suite will also enjoy a dedicated personal butler who will ensure that every whim is fulfilled, whether a VIP shopping trip, a reception on the terrace or a private dinner.

THE DOMINICAN

DOMINICAN LOUNGE BAR © Design Hotelsotels

While adhering to five-star luxury standards, The Dominican takes great pride in good design.

The hotel is housed within a unique historic building, located on Rue Léopold, which was once home to the French painter Jacques-Louis Davide. Step inside and you will immediately notice references to Brussels’s art nouveau past: spiraling metalwork surrounds the Lounge Bar and Grand Lounge, and sweeping archways create what the hotel has dubbed “dramatic intimacy”. As a member of Design Hotels™ you can expect attention to design throughout, especially in the 150 individually designed rooms and suites. The hotel’s inner courtyard comes into its own during the summer when it becomes an alfresco extension of the Grand Lounge restaurant.

TOP SUITE GRAND PLACE SUITE

Why we love it: The silence of the Grand Place Suite is its ultimate luxury – situated on the top floor of The Dominican it overlooks the hotel’s peaceful inner courtyard, the City Hall tower and the Grand Place. Like the rest of the hotel it has been carefully designed with every detail purposely selected. The living room is the perfect refuge, with its open fireplace, Bose entertainment system and separate dining area seating eight. Although the suite only has one bedroom, interconnecting rooms can increase its capacity – and guests can even reserve the entire top floor for complete discretion and security.

TENBOSCH HOUSE

tenbosch house SALON

Since its recent opening Tenbosch House has already redefined standards of boutique luxury in Brussels.

With only seven suites it could hardly be any more boutique and each suite is given the attention it deserves with a private balcony or terrace and original Scandinavian furniture. The entire hotel acts like a living gallery, with contemporary artwork and mid-20th century Scandinavian furniture that seems to be the latest in interior fashion. With only seven suites, the hotel’s few occupants enjoy almost exclusive use of the private pool, sauna and bar. Since it is located in the Ixelles neighborhood, just south of the center, the creators of Tenbosch House saw no need to add a restaurant since some of Brussels’s finest eateries are nearby. Nevertheless, private dining can be arranged in the hotel with chefs brought in from neighboring restaurants if required.

TOP SUITE TENBOSCH LOFT SUITE

Why we love it: The most spacious of Tenbosch’s seven suites is the Tenbosch Loft, which, as the name suggests, is located on the top floor of the hotel under the sloping eaves. From the suite, guests have private access to a large 215 square foot private terrace overlooking the courtyard garden below. The interior, as with the rest of the hotel, is furnished in 20th century Scandinavian furniture and contemporary art, but unique to this suite is a specially designed carpet from Kasthall and details from Georg Jensen.

ODETTE EN VILLE

ODETTE EN VILLE RESTAURANT

The Châtelain district, just south of the city’s historic center, is known for its easy-going pace of life and superb restaurants.

Just a stone’s throw from Avenue Louise is the boutique contemporary hotel, Odette en Ville, an attractive yet unassuming 1920s townhouse on the outside that presents an entirely different world within. Dark hues contrast with custom made wallpapers and white fabrics in the library, bar and beautifully designed dining room that is home to Chef Roberto Zanusso’s innovative imagination. Being a boutique hotel, all the rooms are individually furnished and boast features original to the house, such as open fireplaces and sun terraces, but one thing they all share is Odette en Ville’s trademark dark, contemporary design.

TOP SUITE 3 and 7

Why we love it: A wide wrought-iron staircase leads to suites three and four. Both enjoy large dressing rooms, en-suite bathrooms and open fireplaces, but it is their décor that makes these rooms Odette en Ville’s top suites. Linen headboards, velvet curtains and Italian black marble add hints of luxury, while the hotel’s discreet color scheme makes them feel much larger than they actually are.
