Inside the Residences at Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve

Sponsored: Enjoy all the frills of Ritz-Carlton service full-time with one of these stunning residences.

By Alex Martin

When Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, opened in late 2019, it quickly garnered a reputation as one of the most luxurious and forward-thinking resorts in Los Cabos. But due to the pandemic, few people have so far had the opportunity to experience the resort.

Regardless, the awards have been rolling in at a pace. Its stunning Grand Reserve Villa was included in Elite Traveler’s Top Suites 2021 and was also recognized as one of the world’s top wellness hotels. Most recently, it was nominated in the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards 2021 for best resort in Mexico. There is good reason for these accolades: It is, put simply, a stunning place to stay. So, why leave? With the resort’s on-site residences, you don’t have to.

Located on an exclusive stretch of coastline within the 20,000-acre reserve, the 27 residences are a sophisticated, modern-day homage to Mexican haciendas. The 6,000-sq-ft properties are filled with original works from local artisans. A large retractable window spans the main living area’s length, allowing a seamless flow between its indoor and outdoor spaces.

The property has been designed to focus on the expansive outdoor courtyard, the most important part of any Mexican family’s home. The courtyard is where family members come together for meals and where guests are entertained. Its dedicated grill area makes intimate family meals and large parties effortless. Days can be spent by the private pool and evenings around the large firepit making s’mores and stargazing.

Inside, you’ll find an impeccably designed open-plan living space, with a large high-spec kitchen, six full bathrooms and an expansive master and VIP suite. There are six bedrooms in total. Two suites come with walk-in closets, private balconies and ensuite bathrooms, and an additional bedroom has been designed with children in mind.

All of this may sound like a given for a luxury Los Cabos property, but what separates these residences from the rest is the service that comes with the purchase. Residents not only buy into an exceptional property but the Ritz-Carlton lifestyle – each residence is fully serviced in the same way the resort’s 115 suites and villas are. Residents can also enjoy access to the resort’s amazing spa and restaurants or may choose to order an in-residence treatment or dining experience through the dedicated residential management team.
