The best time to visit to Moscow is during the summer months from May until late August, as the winter can be very cold.
However, those brave enough to try Moscow’s freezing weather will discover a beautiful, romantic snow-covered city.
LOCAL CUSTOMS
Generally, customs in Moscow are similar to that of other countries in Europe. Photography is usually not allowed inside many of the cultural sights of the capital, so check with officials beforehand. Locals are generally friendly and will help out if you’re struggling to read some of the Cyrillic street signs.
ATTIRE
Western-style dress is the norm throughout the city, while those visiting nightclubs and upscale restaurants should be prepared to dress smartly. Those hoping to visit clubs that operate the infamous ‘face-control’ policy must be prepared to dress to impress, with plenty of ‘bling’ on show and at least a few gorgeous-looking people in your party.
