Spa of the Week: The Spa at Brown’s Hotel London

By Emma Reynolds

Brown’s Hotel in the city’s posh Mayfair neighborhood is about as classically English as hotels come. Part of the Rocco Forte Hotel group since 2003, the hotel was first opened in 1837 and reflects its centuries-old heritage through 19th-century architecture designs, windows and molding juxtaposed by clean lines and modern furnishings.

Within the hotel, head to the The Spa to unwind in the middle of the busy city. The Spa uses Irene Forte Skincare (daughter of hotelier Rocco Forte), made in Italy and derived from the healthy lifestyle of the Mediterranean – the brand is sustainable and contains natural ingredients to help your body repair itself from the inside out. Irene’s products are used in all Rocco Forte properties across the world. Other brands used at the spa include: Carita anti-aging skincare, Made For Life organic body products, BeauBronz and OPI. Paired with innovative techniques and treatments, The Spa encourages complete renewal and transformation within its luxuriously appointed rooms.

The Spa offers its Irene Forte Signature Rituals, which range from face and body rituals to special pedicures; as well as facials; body treatments; massages; beauty services, including spray tans, manicures and pedicures, eyelash tinting and waxing; men’s treatments; nutritional counseling and fitness therapies and classes, including personal training.

We recommend booking the Forte Face & Body Ritual, a 120-minute treatment using Irene Forte Skincare products that begins with a rejuvenating full-body exfoliating scrub followed by Sicilian oils and a body mask. Dead skin cells will be gone and you’ll leave feeling smooth, clean and completely relaxed.

Make a weekend out of your spa visit by booking the Kipling Suite at Brown’s Hotel, named after author of The Jungle Book, Rudyard Kipling. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow for natural light throughout the spacious 1,812-sq-ft suite and colorful wallpaper, dazzling prints and sumptuous fabrics bring the suite to life.
