The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express has unveiled a new bar car christened ‘3674’, featuring vibrant blues and golds and reflecting the iconic insignia of the historic carriages and patterns inspired by the train’s marquetry. For a truly unique rail travel experience, the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express transports guests to a by-gone era of elegance with its luxurious vintage carriages. The ‘3674’bar is the train’s social hub and with opulent interiors, sparkling crystal, and Michelin standard food, it makes the scene of many a celebration from romantic proposals to milestone anniversaries and birthdays. Head Barman Walter Nisi has created a new cocktail menu for the 2016 season and a new caviar menu has been developed in collaboration with world famous caviar producer, Petrossian. Delicacies on the menu include, shots of Alverta Royal caviar, caviar cubes and sandwiches using ‘papierusse’, a fine sheet of pressed caviar.
Venice Simplon-Orient-Express journeys across Europe from March to November each year. Prices start from $3,126 per person sharing a double cabin and includes all meals served on board.
