Amid speculation that Paris’s Fall 25/26 couture week could be more muted than usual (Dior, Fendi and Valentino were among those not showing), those brands that were present came up trumps, presenting a season that happily surpassed expectation.
Daniel Roseberry’s surrealist Schiaparelli show grabbed headlines with an embellished beating heart and star-heavy guestlist (including Cardi B and her crow companion), while what would become Armani Privé’s last couture show before the passing of its eponymous founder was a lesson in the versatility of monochrome.
Iris Van Herpen, Georges Chakra and Zuhair Murad, meanwhile, were united in their striking silhouettes, rich jewel-toned colors and penchant for embellishment. Over in the high jewelry realm, nature continued to prove itself as an enduring muse, from Boucheron’s ‘Impermanence’ collection, complete with its insects in miniature, to De Beers’ maple tree-inspired offering.
Shot in the midst of Paris couture week, our Fall 2025 photoshoot celebrates the out-and-out glamour that only couture can capture. Bold and uncompromising, this season’s high jewelry makes a powerful statement.
