Spa of the Week: The Chedi, Luštica Bay, Montenegro

By Emma

The Luštica Bay development in Montenegro is welcoming visitors to enjoy its seaside beauty. The massive development borders the Adriatic Sea and, once completed, will have residences (ranging from apartments and condos to townhouses and villa rentals); boutiques; a fitness center; watersports; pool complexes; a marina; an 18-hole Gary Player golf course; a bustling marina; and seven hotels, including the five-star, The Chedi.

This five-star hotel takes advantage of the Luštica peninsula and the Unesco World Heritage site of Bay of Kotor. The 111-room hotel is set along the waterfront with views over the beautiful sea and neighboring mountains, and has plenty of luxe amenities so you’ll never even have to leave the property.

The Spa at The Chedi is the ultimate relaxation and wellness destination in the area. The spa is designed with a modern guest in mind, and its design is both sleek and soothing. Guests can enjoy the spa’s many facilities, including a pool, sauna, steam room and experience shower before or after treatments in one of the spa’s four treatment rooms.

The spa has a distinct Asian-inspired menu, and uses Voya Organics seaweed-based products. Allow your massage therapist to create a bespoke package to meet your needs, whether that’s an Indian Head Massage followed by the spa’s Signature Massage (which uses Thai fusion therapy and lymphatic drainage to relax the muscles and increase circulation).

There are more than 15 different types of massage treatments to choose from, including the Drift Into Sleep massage, to help restore a sense of calm; the Abhyanga Indian massage, using Ayurvedic techniques; the Four Hand Massage, where two therapists work together to promote deep relaxation; and the Bamboo Massage to stimulate blood flow.

The spa menu also includes body scrubs, facial treatments and body wraps using Voya Organics products. There are also caviar facials and honey facials, plus beauty treatments. Kids are welcome, as there is a specific menu dedicated solely to them.

During your time at The Chedi Luštica Bay, be sure to book the Luštica Bay Penthouse. The sumptuous two-bedroom penthouse is 1,775 sq ft with incredible views over the Adriatic Sea. The room has a kitchenette, spacious balcony and a separate living area.
