Geneva is synonymous with luxury and elegance. Expect a world with quality of service beyond compare

Le Richemond has a fascinating history and has hosted many distinguished guests since it opened in 1875 as Geneva’s palace and to this day this glamorous, five-star establishment welcomes guests ‘in-the-know’.

Le Richemond personifies the refined sophistication of modern, contemporary luxury with 109 guest rooms and suites which provide guests with unrivalled comfort and panoramic views of Lake Geneva, Jet d’Eau, Mont Blanc, Salève mountains and Old Town. The hotel is within walking distance of the center of the financial district and key shopping areas such as Rue du Rhône and Rive in addition to the Patek Phillipe watch museum, art museums and all key central landmarks of Geneva. Each room and suite is individually decorated and many feature antiques and contemporary artworks, creating an elegant and fashionable air. Le Jardin celebrates Italian art and cuisine, Le Bar is the place to meet for afterwork cocktails and The Lounge offers a delightful Afternoon Tea experience. A luxurious spa and state-of-the-art Techno Gym fitness center offers a discreet sanctuary within this vibrant city.

Why we love it: This sumptuous penthouse suite is a combination of a Deluxe Room, Junior Deluxe Suite and Presidential Suite complete with rain forest showers and hammam, a spacious living room with fireplace and a dining room for private entertaining.

Located on the 7th floor, with a surface of 820 square feet and accented by two inviting, beautifully furnished terraces, the Royal Armleder Suite offers a 360° panoramic view of Lake Geneva, Old Town and its famous cathedral, as well as the snow-capped Mont Blanc.

The luminous rooms are spacious, welcoming and provide limitless comfort and a stylish contemporary décor, accented with works of art and an eclectic selection of antiques and modern furniture, including a few elements designed by John Stefanidis himself.

With a total surface of 330 square feet, the large and peaceful terraces are furnished with total relaxation in mind. The lounge chairs, furnishings and gardens were designed with care and are perfect for evening entertaining under the stars.

At the edge of Lake Geneva, the city’s very first hotel has been a beloved landmark since its opening in 1834.

Reborn for the 21st century as Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues Geneva, the seven-storey neoclassical building was transformed through two years of refurbishments. Interior architect Pierre-Yves Rochon focused the renovations on recapturing the hotel’s historic spirit – creating interiors that ‘could have been’ in 1834. Classic French furnishings blend Directoire, Louis XVI and Louis-Philippe styles to bring a fresh, bright and airy ambiance. The color palette of greens and blues – inspired by the waters of Lake Geneva – is reflected throughout the public spaces, 65 guest rooms and across all 35 premier suites, offering guests an unrivalled and opulent experience.

Why we love it: With palatial grandeur, the five-bedroom Royal Suite soars with high ceilings, tall windows and a private terrace overlooking the city and Lake Geneva. A superb suite in which to entertain; furnishings are impeccable French reproductions, echoing the style of Versailles. Lavish silks, velvets and jacquards have been sourced from the finest Parisian fabric houses. The most complex detailing includes the plasterwork for the decorative mouldings, friezes and cartouches – cast on site and hand painted to achieve the patina of history. The suite offers a spacious marble foyer, living room with formal dining room for eight and adjacent pantry, parlor with double sofa bed, and a high-tech office designed as a library. The marble master bathroom features a double vanity, window-side designer bathtub offering lake views, separate rain shower, LCD flat-screen television, steam-resistant mirrors and heated towel racks. A guest powder room adjoins the living area.
