HÔTEL DE PARIS
For over one hundred years the legendary Hôtel de Paris has been the symbolic heart of Monaco’s grandiose principality.
The gilding and marble of this historic landmark has seen it all: the impossible extravagances tailored by the hotel’s immaculate concierges, the lavishness of the neighboring Grand Casino and the world’s most illustrious Grand Prix as it races past its doors every summer. Its Belle Époque interior and panoramic views have entertained the world’s elite since its opening: Frank Sinatra and Winston Churchill have both stayed here, in addition to numerous other legendary figures. Furthermore, the hotel’s restaurant, Le Louis XV-Alain Ducasse, is widely regarded as Monaco’s finest.
TOP SUITE WINSTON CHURCHILL SUITE
Why we love it: The Winston Churchill Suite is named after the legendary British Prime Minister, who, as a frequent guest at the Hôtel de Paris, brought with him rare furniture and cherished objects when he came to stay. These have all been preserved by the hotel, giving this elegant topfloor suite a unique flavor. Despite this touch of historical significance, the suite’s design maintains a contemporary feel with light colors and absolute privacy. A private elevator takes you up to this suite with two bedrooms, two lounges, a dining room and a sweeping terrace of 810 square feet (73 square meters), all overlooking the sea. The suite comes into its own during the annual F1 Grand Prix when the terrace becomes one of the most envied spots in the city.

HÔTEL METROPOLE
Named ‘Best Hotel in the World’ in 2010 by the prestigious hotel group, The Leading Hotels of the World, Metropole is another of Monaco’s celebrated old-world hotels, having been open since 1886.
Despite being in the center of Monaco’s illustrious playground, just a few steps from the legendary Grand Casino, the aura is closer to a private Mediterranean villa than a sleek city hotel. A short avenue of cypress trees will guide you to the entrance, which is adorned with “Riviera Glamour”, so don’t be surprised to see celebrities strolling through the lobby. The world’s most Michelin awarded restaurateur, Joël Robuchon, manages two of the hotel’s restaurants, turning Metropole into quite a culinary destination.
TOP SUITE CARRÉ D’OR
Why we love it: The terrace sells this suite; a staggering 1,100-square feet (102 square meters) of it overlooks the Carré d’Or shopping area, Casino Square and the Mediterranean, big enough to hold a cocktail party for 50 guests. The suite has one bedroom but can be rented in tandem with another suite to occupy all 4,500 square feet of the hotel’s top floor. The suite was recently re-designed by Jacques Garcia, who gave it something of his old-world personae: amongst all the modern amenities are grand portraits of figures from the Middle Ages and hundreds of beautiful old books.

HÔTEL HERMITAGE
For over a hundred years Hôtel Hermitage has remained a welcoming and discreet cousin of the grand Hôtel de Paris, yet it compromises neither style nor service.
Its huge space is astonishing from the moment you walk under the vast glass-domed ceiling in the lobby. Its terraces, gardens and restaurants are all lavishly decorated and personally attended to. The old world charm doesn’t end with the architecture; Hôtel Hermitage is steeped in history and legend: Aristotle Onassis used to meet with Maria Callas in secret on the terrace; Marcel Pagnol resided for years in one of the suites and Prince Louis de Polignac lived all his life at the Hôtel Hermitage. Each guest is attended to as if the VIP of yesteryear.
TOP SUITE PRESIDENTIAL SUITE
Why we love it: Two bedrooms, each with their own terrace, an office area and a large sitting room are all furnished in ceruse sand and ivory. The two bathrooms adjoining the bedrooms are in Carrara marble. The suite has prime views over Port Hercule throughout, but nowhere are these better appreciated than from the magnificent terrace running the length of the suite. The terrace looks down on the superyachts scattered across the port, a perfect spot for an alfresco breakfast or evening cocktails.

PORT PALACE
Monaco is all about grandeur and glamour, so for something a little more understated yet refined and luxurious consider this boutique right on the quay of Monaco Harbor.
The hotel faces directly over the harbor and all of the 50 rooms and suites enjoy views across the blizzard of yacht masts and superyachts moored in the harbor. But the best place from which to enjoy this view is from the hotel’s Michelin-starred Mandarine Restaurant and, in particular, its terrace, which is also one of the finest vantage points to watch the Grand Prix.
TOP SUITE EXECUTIVE SUITE
Why we love it: This suite embraces all that is outstanding about Port Palace: the impeccable service and views across the harbor. The suite is dominated by a substantial sitting room, which also enjoys an en-suite marble bathroom with a hammam and steam bath. The Executive Suite is designed with all the necessary comforts and furnished with beautiful modern décor.

MONTE CARLO BEACH
Once a legend of Monaco during the 30s Jazz era, Monte Carlo Beach has since settled into a slower and more luxurious way of life.
A total metamorphosis has taken place redesigning this former hedonistic playground into a luxurious, five-star retreat. Every detail has been presided over by designer India Mahdavi, inviting Mediterranean views into every one of its 40 rooms. Even the gardens have undergone radical change: 15 giant trees have been imported to resemble the original Mediterranean coastal scenery, a far cry from Monaco’s crowded coast where high-rise apartments compete for sea views. Incorporated into the Beach Hotel is the Beach Club, another outpost of the early 20th century glamour that has been preserved and restored.
TOP SUITE SUITE 55
Why we love it: Sunlight and sea views adorn this room with a calm presence. Removed from the busy center of Monaco, the high glamour of the Place du Casino and the yacht-crowded Port Hercule, Suite 55 is perfect if you want to hear the sea lapping at the shores beneath you and enjoy views unobstructed by towering buildings or yachts. This suite, along with the rest of the Beach Hotel, has been refurbished in a unique style with whitewashed walls and clean lines throughout.
