Aman-i-Khas Reopens with New Pavilions
Aman-i-Khas, set on the edge of India’s Ranthambore National Park, has launched three new suites, expanding the intimate jungle camp to a total of 13 pavilions. The update includes the addition of two Grand Tented Pool Pavilions and one Tented Pool Pavilion, both of which feature private swimming pools.
The Grand Tented Pool Pavilions are among the largest at the camp, measuring 2,755 sq-ft, with a temperature-controlled outdoor pool and a spacious open-air sun deck. Inside, the accommodation is a playful take on ‘glamping’, with soaring canopy ceilings and a modern, king-sized bedroom. The tent also provides ample living space, with a central sunken living area and a separate dining area. The smaller Tented Pool Pavilion spans 1,770 sq ft, with a dining area and sundeck with a plunge pool.
The camp, designed in Aman’s signature minimalist style, sits on the threshold of the nature reserve and offers guests the chance to explore the surrounding varied landscape. Guests can explore ancient forts and rural villages, and enjoy daily safaris, seeking out the area’s natural wildlife, including the Bengal tiger.

London to Welcome The Shepherd Mayfair in 2026
Elegant Hotel Collection has announced The Shepherd Mayfair, an 82-key boutique hotel due to open in London later this year. The luxury hotel will revive one of Mayfair’s earliest residential mansions, and interiors will take inspiration from 18th and early 19th-century Mayfair properties.
“The hotel will feel as though it truly belongs in Mayfair. Our intention with the design was to create a feeling and character embedded in the neighbourhood, yet with its own distinct identity,” says designer Timothy Shepherd.
Guest rooms will be spread across six floors, with Fayre, a British brasserie, on the first floor, alongside The Lounge, a separate cafe for coffee, pastries, and light lunches. A highlight will be Teddy’s, a late-night cocktail bar hidden on the lower ground, accessible via a secret Market Mews entrance, which promises to revive the Mayfair bar vibe from the 1960s.

Bruton Chef Announces Bespoke India Itinerary
Shakti Himalaya, the walking-journey specialist operating across India’s remote mountain regions, has announced a new collaboration with chef Merlin Labron-Johnson, founder of Michelin-starred Osip in Somerset. Launching in Spring 2026, Flavours of the Himalaya, Reimagined by Merlin is a nine-night culinary journey combining Himalayan exploration and fine dining experiences.
“A recent trip to the Himalayas left me deeply inspired—particularly by the incredible wild and cultivated ingredients growing in the mountains,” says Labron-Johnson. “The colors, smells, and energy of the landscape create the perfect platform to explore a cuisine rooted in local traditions, but seen through my own lens.”
The journey runs from March 15-24 and March 19-28, 2026, beginning in Delhi before continuing to Shakti Prana, a mountain retreat set 6,500 ft above sea level, with views of Nanda Devi and the Panchachuli range. Highlights include hands-on workshops exploring traditional Kumaoni dishes through Osip’s seasonal, minimalist approach; multi-course Himalayan-inspired dinners prepared by Labron-Johnson and guided walks to remote trails, temples, and village homes.
