French luxury cosmetic brand Lancôme celebrated their 80th anniversary, founded by entrepreneur Armand Petitjean in 1935.
Celebrating the brands unique take on French beauty, the star studded night saw guests strike a pose among giant cut outs of the brands iconic products and symbols. A poetic fresh rose arch served as an entrance to the theatre and a playful exhibition of carefully conserved objects from its patrimony.
The 80th birthday celebration could not have been done without the women who today embody the brand. Julia Roberts, Penélope Cruz, Kate Winslet, Lupita Nyong’o, Lily Collins, Alma Jodorowsky and Daria Werbowy were all on stage together for the first time to wish a happy anniversary to Lancôme.
Isabella Rossellini was the master of the ceremony, which saw more than 1,200 guests from the beauty, fashion, film and art industries gather together. Kylie Minogue also held a private concert playing some of her most danced to songs, followed by French DJ Kiddy Smile who performed into the night.
The party is just one of the highlights of celebrations beginning in January with the release of “Editions du Regard” – a book celebrating the brand’s heritage. This was followed by the launch of the brands first web only limited edition Lancôme products – three shades of the legendary L’Absolu Rouge lipstick.
