Built on the pursuit of a big idea – to transform the urban commute – the Gi FlyBike is a bike created for the future.
Lightweight and easy to use, the Gi FlyBike is eco friendly, mobile integrated and is capable of folding in one second, offering easy portability. Loaded with an array of features, the Gi FlyBike boasts full sized 26” tires, three-speed electric assistance allowing riders to travel at up to 40 miles on one charge. The bike also features a GPS tracking system, iOS and Android sync (allowing any smartphone to turn into a navigating system), a smartlock anti-theft system and USB phone charging.
The eco-friendly bike has been made from 100% recyclable aircraft grade aluminum alloy and is manufactured using the same machines used for airplane manufacturing. But it is the electric flight assistance tat makes this bike truly unique, allowing riders to be propelled uphill and along difficult terrain at a maximum speed of 15mph. Riders can enjoy up to 40 miles per charge.
The smart phone charger is what brings this bike in line with 21st century living. The pedals will not only take the rider where they need to go, but the energy produced by the riders pedaling is used to recharge their phone.
The bike, developed by Lucas Toledo, Agustín Agostinoy, and Eric Sevilla felt that the traditional bike had not been updated for modern day commuting, despite still being one of the best ways to get around almost any city. Their aim was to improve every aspect of the traditional bike, creating a better way for commuters to travel through the city.
“We are so proud to announce Gi FlyBike and offer a better, more enjoyable solution that reimagines the way we think about our daily commute”, says Toledo. “Gi FlyBike is an all-in-one bicycle that fulfills your tech savvy needs, adapts to your city, looks incredibly sleek and stylish, and ultimately promotes a greener and better world.”
The Gi FlyBike has raised over $400,000 – five times its funding goal – on Kickstarter and is currently available to pre-order on Indiegogo for $2,290.
