Cartier has launched their 2015 Christmas advert starring model and singer-songwriter Karen Elson.
The film, directed by Swedish music video, film and TV director Johan Renck, sees the red-haired model – who has previously fronted campaigns for Louis Vuitton, Tom Ford and YSL – channel Marilyn Monroe by sporting a red dress and reenacting the iconic skirt blowing scene. She is dripping in diamonds and singing the 1949 song Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend while the legendary Cartier panther observes from above.

If the latest campaign has put you in the mood for a Christmas spending spree you are in luck, as Berkeley Square will receive a touch of sparkle this month with the arrival of Le Diamant, a private exhibition by Cartier showcasing some of their finest jewels. The first exhibition of its kind will feature some of the largest Cartier diamonds to ever be shown in the UK and will be hosted by Phillips.
The collection, which will feature over 200 diamonds, will include one-of-a-kind pieces from Cartier’s contemporary ranges as well as unique treasures from archive collections including the Oriental tiara created in 1911. It will also showcase the art-deco inspired Galanterie de Cartier collection featuring diamond, onyx and black lacquer.
As well as the tradition and exquisite designs, visitors to the exhibition will also be able to learn about the “set for you” service which offers custom made engagement rings.
Le Diamant runs from 25 – 26 November at Philips, 30 Berkeley Square, London W1.
