Karisma Hotels & Resorts will open Mexico’s first overwater bungalows in September 2016. Set to open at the award-winning, adults-only El Dorado Maroma, a Beachfront Resort, by Karisma, the Palafitos will be available for booking beginning March 2016.
The first phase of 30 suites is currently under construction. These elegant Overwater Bungalows will offer breathtaking ocean views, glass-bottom floors, direct ladder access to the ocean, outdoor “Aguas del Amor” showers, private infinity pools and indoor Jacuzzis. Surrounded by bright turquoise waters and offering extraordinary views of spectacular sunrises and stunning sunsets, the Palafitos will feature oversized decks with lounge chairs that look out onto the ocean horizon. The Overwater Bungalows are uniquely situated just off the sugary white sands of Riviera Maya’s Maroma Beach, voted by Travel Channel as one of the top 10 beaches in the world.

Guests staying in the Palafitos will receive special services, including 24-hour room service, exclusive beach beds, customized beach picnics and full butler service on-demand to assist with everything from pre-arrival requests, packing and unpacking, reservations, and delivery of complimentary sunscreen, reading materials, refreshments and gourmet bites while at the pool or beach, and more.
A world-class overwater restaurant and tranquil spa will complete the exclusive experience. The Gourmet Inclusive Over Water Ocean Grill & Wine Bar will feature an open kitchen and a glass floor private dining room for special intimate events while boasting scenic views of the Caribbean Sea. The Gourmet Inclusive offerings at El Dorado Maroma are just a swift walk across the beach, comprising of three pools, six premier restaurants, and four bars, all tended to by dedicated staff. Guests can choose to partake in a broad range of resort activities from dancing, yoga and beach volleyball to cooking lessons, kayaking and bocce.
The Palafitos – Overwater Bungalows at El Dorado Maroma will be available for booking from March 2016, with rates starting at $665 per adult, per night.
