As the world leader in the art of true luxury conveyance, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has extended its expertise to design a suite of elegant luggage to complement Wraith, the most powerful Rolls-Royce ever created.
The new luxury collection, created by Rolls-Royce Bespoke Designer, Michael Bryden, consists of two Grand Tourer valises, three Long Weekender bags and one Garment Carrier.
Designed to specifically highlight its two-tone finish, the collection complements the design principles of the Wraith itself and enables customers with the opportunity to customize their luggage to match the interior of their car. The six-piece luggage collection is priced at $45,000.
The design of the luggage collection was inspired by insights from experts accustomed to handling discerning individuals’ luggage at some of the world’s most respected hotels. Offered insight into the interaction between guests and their belongings, the counsel noticed that frequent and accomplished travelers rarely handled their own luggage; only one small bag is usually handled by the owner. Hence the company paid particular attention to the Long Weekender bag to suit the traveler’s lifestyle
The Long Weekender bag features even weight distribution and a perfectly smooth finish on the handle. It is designed with discrete fastenings which magnetically dock, providing remarkable resistance in the form of aerospace-grade aluminium, while remaining durable and effortless to carry.
The Grand Tourer is equipped with strategically placed wheels, specially designed on a wide track to provide a high level of stability and an effortless transfer from ground to luggage compartment, ensuring the bag glides into position seamlessly into the car’s trunk.
The Garment Carrier, a sleek and slim-lined addition that sits seamlessly atop the Long Weekenders and Grand Tourers, has been designed specifically to hold fancy frocks or tuxedos; it’s perfectly black-tie friendly.
The bags, which are meant to imitate the Wraith in design and structure, are easy to wheel through airports or through high-end hotels.
The Spirit of Ecstasy, the flying lady figurine that has graced each and every Rolls-Royce hood since 1911, is also present on each piece of luggage, elegantly embossed onto the exterior of each bag.
