The Faraone Mennella RFMAS signature collection is best known for its tactile surfaces of smooth, polished gold fashioned into unusual shapes, bridging the gap between ancient Tuscan craftsmanship and contemporary form. Its couture collection, comprised of opulent, one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces, is inspired by exotic, colored gemstones mined in Colombia, Brazil and India.
Hallmark jewelry collections, partnerships with iconic clothing designers, global flagship boutiques and an international, jet-set following are just a few fifteen-year career highlights Faraone Mennella RFMAS is celebrating. This summer, Roberto Faraone Mennella and Amedeo Scognamiglio, the dynamic duo behind the chic Italian jewelry brand, took commemorating milestones to new heights with not one, but two parties of the season.
The invitation-only party in early June, hosted by Pamela Fiori and Elaine Wynn at the Las Vegas Wynn hotel, kicked off a string of festivities commemorating the past 15 years of Faraone Mennella RFMAS. Beautiful Italian models greeted guests and escorted them to a private suite where distinguished press, VIP clients and longtime friends were raising glasses of Prosecco in honor of the Faraone Mennella RFMAS anniversary.
Grand dame Iris Apfel graced the event in all of her feathered glory, along with other notable guests including Mindy Grossman, CEO of Home Shopping Network, former editor of Town and Country, Pamela Fiori, Elaine Wynn, philanthropist and co-founder of Mirage Resort and the Wynn hotel, and Jim Gold, President of Neiman Marcus Group.
Guests watched a video recap of the Faraone Mennella success story, which started in New York City with a fortuitous opportunity not long after their arrival in 2001. A friend of Mennella and Scognamiglio knew Sarah Jessica Parker, star of Sex and the City television show, and raved to her about the Italians’ jewelry collection. Parker introduced them to Patricia Fields, costume designer for Sex and the City, and she began featuring their jewelry pieces on the show. It was the first domino to fall in their subsequent successes, causing the Faraone Mennella RFMAS brand to soar unforeseen heights. See the video here.
The neon lights of Las Vegas were left behind in stark contrast to party number two in early July on the beautiful isle of Capri. Mennella and Scognamiglio, both from the Italian Compania region, pulled out all the stops to ensure their international guests experienced the best of the Mediterranean isle: culture, history, and the stunning surroundings of their childhood.
Former CNN journalist Alina Cho, stylist Erica Pelosini, men’s shoe designer Louis Leemann and designer Brian Atwood were among the guests who gathered at the Faraone Mennella boutique on Via Furorlovado for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Guests traveled to a secret garden party through narrow Capri streets while dancing and singing old Neapolitan songs along the way, led by a folk group dressed in traditional costumes of the 1800s. Neapolitan food, live music and dancing at the Villa Helios rounded out the first evening of the FMXV in Capri celebration.
The FMXV in Capri party concluded the next evening with dinner and dancing at the exclusive Fontelina Beach Club, where guests enjoyed exquisite views of the Marina Piccola Bay, entertainment by Britain’s Got Talent’s Jack Pack, and a fireworks display.
