Earlier this year, A Lange & Söhne introduced the first watch in the brand’s 25th Anniversary collection. The series honors the late Walter Lange, whose perseverance and passion enabled him to reestablish A Lange & Söhne in 1994. The brand was originally founded by Lange’s great-grandfather in 1845, but it was expropriated after World War II and virtually disappeared.
The 25th Anniversary watches are powered by existing movements, but boast distinguishing aesthetics that set them apart: silver dials with rich blue hands, numerals and accent colors. The alluring and complex Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar 25th Anniversary watch, built in a limited edition of 25 pieces, houses the 624-part, self-winding, in-house Caliber L082.1 with a patented stop-second function that allows time setting to within one-second accuracy.
Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback is a blue and gold engraving with the historically important number 25.
Price: $335,800 in 18K white gold
