Did you ever wonder what happened to neon sights and lights after their lives on the Las Vegas Strip end? Well, there’s an entire museum dedicated to that. The Neon Museum Las Vegas features the Neon Boneyard, which has more than 200 rescued signs, many which are restored, from throughout the decades. Pieces range from the 1930s until today, and you can see how The Strip has evolved through its neon signs and light fixtures, in both trends and technology. The museum also houses upcoming artists through The Neon Museum’s National Artist Residency program, which allows artists to create art in an unconventional setting. Not only does it engage the community and visitors, but it showcases new talent. Artists will reside in Las Vegas for eight weeks over the summer and can work in digital, performance or visual arts.
